An IconScout premium subscription brings four kinds of modern design assets under one roof: icons, illustrations, 3D assets and Lottie animations. If you design interfaces, build apps or make pitch decks, you know a glossy 3D element or a tiny welcome animation is what makes a product feel current, and that's IconScout's speciality. HeyTools offers cheap IconScout access with instant activation, through the browser extension or the cloud version on any device.

How IconScout differs from classic icon sites

Typical icon sites focus on flat icons. IconScout, now owned by Canva, built its library around the assets digital product designers actually ask for: 3D icon packs in clay, glass and plastic styles, ready-to-ship animations for apps and websites, and consistent illustration sets for onboarding, empty states and error screens. Assets are grouped into packs with a unified style, so you grab a coherent set instead of mismatched pieces.

What you get

Icons

Line, solid, duotone and flat styles in SVG and PNG, with colour and size adjustable before download.

Illustrations

Scenes and characters in many art styles for landing pages, marketing emails and decks.

3D assets

3D models you can download as PNG renders from different angles, or as 3D files to work on in Blender and similar tools, with angle and lighting adjustable on the site.

Lottie animations

Lightweight JSON animations that run on iOS, Android and the web without slowing pages down, also downloadable as video or GIF.

Premium highlights

• Premium downloads across every category, not just the limited free items.
• Built-in Lottie editor: recolour animations to match a brand before downloading, no After Effects needed.
• 3D customisation: rotate the model and pick the angle and lighting for your layout.
• Many formats per asset: SVG, PNG, JSON, GIF, MP4 and 3D formats.
• Design-tool plugins such as Figma to insert assets without leaving your file.

Practical uses

• Add a Lottie animation to your app's loading or payment-success screen.
• Give a tech product landing page depth with 3D elements.
• Prepare a startup pitch deck with matching icon and illustration packs.
• Make social posts with 3D elements that stand out in a busy feed.
• Build a design system using one icon pack across every screen.

Pro tips

• Search by pack rather than single items to keep one style throughout.
• Recolour Lottie files in the editor before download instead of patching them in code.
• Use JSON for in-app animation and MP4 or GIF for decks and social.
• Check each asset's page for the platform's usage terms, especially before client work.

Who it's for

UI/UX designers and app developers gain the most, but marketers wanting modern-looking ads, creators hunting for animated elements and agencies juggling many client styles all benefit. If you live in Canva or Figma, IconScout is a natural companion.
